Not all lab-grown diamonds are equal. Ours are grown to a standard most retailers don't offer and most consumers don't know to ask for.
The Difference
Most lab-grown diamond retailers source from open wholesale markets. They buy whatever is available at a given price point, which means quality varies from order to order. A stone graded VS2 from one batch may look noticeably different from a VS2 in the next.
Lihara doesn't work that way. We grow our diamonds to specification. Every stone is produced under controlled conditions to meet our exact standards before it enters production. We don't sort through bulk inventory hoping to find good stones. We start with good stones.
The result is a diamond that is colorless or near-colorless (D, E, or F on the GIA scale), eye-clean at minimum (VS1 or VS2), and independently verified by IGI. Every single one.
What We Require
D, E, and F are the three highest color grades on the international scale — completely colorless diamonds. Most lab-grown retailers sell G, H, or lower as their standard. Every Lihara diamond falls in the colorless range. There is no upsell to reach it. It is the baseline.
At VS1 and VS2, inclusions are invisible to the naked eye and difficult to find even under 10x magnification. Many retailers sell SI1 or SI2 as their default, where inclusions can sometimes be seen without magnification. Our floor is VS+. Every stone is eye-clean, guaranteed.
Every Lihara diamond ships with a full IGI grading report that independently documents the stone's cut, color, clarity, and carat weight. You don't take our word for the grade. You take IGI's. The report number is verifiable on their website.
Other brands offer tiered quality — lower-grade stones in their entry line, better ones at the top. At Lihara, a $300 pair of studs uses the same D–F, VS+, IGI-certified diamonds as a $3,000 tennis chain. The size changes. The quality does not.
The International Gemological Institute is one of the world's most respected gemological laboratories. Every Lihara diamond is submitted to IGI for independent grading before it is set. Your certificate ships with your order and is verifiable online using the stone's unique report number.
The Promise
Lab-grown diamonds eliminated the scarcity premium. But not every brand passed those savings on, and not every brand maintained the quality. Lihara did both. Top-tier diamonds, honest prices, no exceptions.
